about.md — bio
My name is Aryan Thomare and I'm a Computer Engineer from the University of Michigan. I've been making things since I was a kid, so I figured I should make a career out of it. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and I currently live in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
A lot of my work is in software development, machine learning, and embedded systems. I'm especially interested in applying machine learning to real-world systems — from quantitative finance and risk modeling to robotics and computer vision. Recently I've worked on deep learning research for derivatives pricing, data platform work in financial services, and automation tools for performance analysis in investment management.
I also enjoy hands-on engineering projects like DrawBot, where I worked on navigation, controls, and software integration for an autonomous whiteboard-drawing robot. In my spare time I build personal projects, documented on this site — feel free to reach out if you have questions or just want to chat.
